Peculiar question of a Peculiar Man !!

 Jai Gurudev !!

Mr.X  is peculiar just because , flashed  in his mind , a peculiar question .
And why the question is  peculiar ?
That question can be very much categorized  as  peculiar  because , it  has  never ever crossed  the mind arena of a common man  at all .  Where is the time for the common man to stop and think in his non-stop run ?

Mr.X  was enjoying  his morning walk thoroughly , after finishing his early morning Yoga practises . The birds chirping , the mild warmth of the Sun’s beginning rays , the milkman , the paperman cycling around with a walkman in their ears . The cows busy munching the roadside greeneries .

He sat for a while on the resting bench and closed his eyes . Attending to his breath , he observed  his system getting relaxed more and more  . A sudden impulse arose in his thought process...

“When is a person happy during his whole lifetime ? “

Right from his childhood to the old age , when does a man *feel* that he’s indeed  happy ?

The same question kept on rolling in his mind . He decided to ask this question to people belonging to various age groups and get himself relieved of that question worm. He kick started his questioning session with a young boy and moved on to the next age group person . He continued till he reached a very old man . Interestingly , he got stunning answers from each one of them …
He jotted down each of the responses in his records . At the end of this exercise , he sat for the overview of the responses to get to a conclusion .
He scrolled down and read out the individual reponses he got for the question , he shot at each one of them , When will you be happy ?”

I'll be happy if I become my bro'

6 year old kid :  I ‘ll be happy , if I become like my  brother , who is in his high school . He goes to shop and buys chocolates for himself  .
Even he gets the  pocket money from daddy too , which he spends it as he likes …

Highschool kid : Oh ! I’ll be happy, if I turn to my cousin’s age, who’s in college. U see, no need to carry this heavy load of books to school , no “n “ number of homeworks and projects .  Just a file or few notebooks and go to college happily , wearing trendy & colorful dresses. The same colour uniform is so boring !!

College Student :  Hey , come on man ! What a  weird question !!
I’m  just waiting to complete my college studies and barge into a High profile Job. We can see some real bucks in hand. Lots of  Financial independency . I can buy latest electronic gadgets like I-phone , trendy Racing Bikes and attend lavishing dinner parties with my friends and enjoy to the brim !!

Software Professional in his mid -twenties :
Well , I ‘m on the look out for a perfect soul mate, u know , who matches exactly my dream girl . A  pretty looking , understanding , family loving girl …Oh !Where’s she ? When will she enter my life and make me happy ?

A young couple , just married :
(Giggles) ….. Oh Yes ! How nice it’d be , if we could get a chubby & cute  baby , who can bring in tons and tons of joy and happiness to our life . A symbol of our love , ofcourse !! Just could not resisit that waiting …

A middle aged person :
“As of now , my prime focus is on my son’s studies . I’m putting all my best , so that he gets the high class education and he has to get molded to a better human being , to be respectable in society !! “ Nothing else comes to my mind right this moment  . I think , once that is achieved , I’ll  the happiest person !!

A person who is about to get retired :
(Smiles with thin lines of worry prominent in his forehead )
By God’s Grace , my son is settled in a MNC job now. I also have enough securities for the rest of my life.Only thing is that , I need to get a proper match for my son and get him married in a grand manner. That'll be when a proud parent can feel real happy !!

A retired person, who was spotted walking in the park :
“At this age , what more joy will I ask than looking out for a loving grand daughter , who showers love to me and spends time with me . Infact , my son & daughter-in-law are busy climbing up their career ladder and they're  simply postponing their issue ..Hmm…”

An old person in a wheel  chair ,assisted by his grand-daughter  :
(Laughs , but no teeth to be seen )
“Oh ! how I wish , I ‘m there  to watch my only granddaughter’s marriage , full to my heart’s content and leave my breath happily !“

Mr.X got really fed up of each one’s answers to the question, when they would be happy .
Why not Happiness now !! I'm puzzled

The  visibly exhausted Mr.X , read out the response of the person , who was  in his death bed :

“Ha ! Ha! Ha !  Happiness ?! “  the pathetic  old man laughed out in apathy and  whispered  in broken words , “ I have to leave this world , without  giving any troubles to my near and dear ones  , not having to suffer much in bed . That’s my last wish  !
I’ll leave off happily forever !!”

On reading out the multiple responses in his room , in the night time ,
Mx.X could not control his tears .With choking throat , he yelled out to the divine ,
“ Oh God !! Why is that , a man has to wait to find the happiness always in his  next step of life . Why is that , you have kept the happiness in the future ?
Why not Now ?
Now !!
Now !! "

He opened up the  book , “Words of wisdom “ written by his Guruji to get the timely guidance .
The words that fell in his eyes :
*Happiness is always in the present moment !!
Happines  is  just an attitude !!
Being unconditionally Happy is a Practise !!

The one who understands this stays happier …

For the one who does not realise this , *Happiness * is always in an  unreachable height and never can he get a chance to be happy in his entire lifetime  !! “

Having his mind settled , Mr.X  felt a deep silence in his heart and slept off peacefully .

P.S: Infant kids within the age of three remain ever happy  , for they live in the present moment completely , with no negativities like hatred, jealous , lust , anger in their mind . For they have a sense of belongingness with everybody .
Alas !! the kid is not in a position to understand and answer Mr.X' peculiar question !!

Hey ! I'm Happy !!

Love & smiles....
